Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and motivated Substance Abuse Counselor / Co-Occurring Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Jacksonville, NC.
This position provides direct outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services to individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders in community-based settings.

Crisis phone rotation: 1 weekday plus rotating weekends
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide community-based substance use treatment services to ACTT clients in homes and community settings
Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
Complete LOCAs, pre-authorizations, and clinical reviews in a timely manner
Develop and maintain treatment plans, NCTOPPs, discharge plans, and aftercare plans
Collaborate with families, referral sources, and support systems
Deliver interventions for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders
Participate in on-call and emergency service rotation, including crisis planning and hospital diversion
Attend treatment team meetings and required trainings
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
LCAS(A) or CADC required
Ability to obtain required certification/licensure within 90 days of hire (if applicable)
Qualified Professional (QP) status per 10A NCAC 27G.0104
Valid North Carolina driver's license
Ability and willingness to travel locally throughout the Jacksonville area
