About Us

Hot & Cold Supply is a family-owned industrial and plumbing supply company serving the Hampton Roads region for over 30 years. We provide pipe, valve, fitting, hose, plumbing, and mechanical system solutions to commercial contractors, industrial customers, and shipyards throughout the region.

We are looking for a motivated relationship-driven sales professional to help grow our commercial plumbing business.

Position Overview

The Plumbing Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting existing accounts throughout the Hampton Roads area.

This role combines outside sales, project development, customer support, and technical product solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and enjoys building long-term customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, facilities, and commercial customers
  • Conduct in-person customer visits, jobsite meetings, and prospecting activities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Support customers with product selection, pricing, and availability
  • Coordinate with inside sales and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service
  • Research and quote commercial projects and bid opportunities
  • Maintain organized account activity and follow-up
  • Stay current on industry products, applications, and market trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plumbing, PVF, industrial distribution, HVAC, construction supply, or outside sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customer needs simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
