A roofing technician works to ensure structural integrity on all buildings and ensures the safety of those who come in. Repair, replace or install roofs on commercial, industrial and retail businesses and residential buildings. 

Requirements:

This position is responsible for:

  • Repair and maintain roofs using all materials.
  • Ensure that job site is clean once repairs and maintenance is complete.
  • Follow and maintain an environment that values safety, health and cleanliness.
  • Construction with Single Ply's EPDM, TPO, PVC, Built-up, Modified, Etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of commercial/industrial roofing procedures and safety.
  • Experience working with all types of building materials.
  • Team Player with good communication, problem solving and organizational skills able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated professional with strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with at least two of the following roof systems: EPDM, TPO, PVC, Modified Systems, Flashing and built-up systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations for roofing and OSHA requirements.
  • Basic math skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Smart Phones (Take photos on phone and email/text pic).
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds repetitively, and must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.

Required: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in roofing, or general construction is required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2-year Construction Site experience including working with plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of roofing which includes – BUR, Single Ply, EPDM, TPO PVC & Waterproofing Techniques and Products
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred: 

  • Commercial, industrial, and retail roofing experience
