Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and improving production support and facility systems in a climate-controlled manufacturing plant. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a wide range of equipment, supports electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and ensures the facility remains safe, functional, and compliant with building codes. The technician works both independently and as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently on the first shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on production support and facilities equipment, including air compressors, fire extinguishing and sprinkler systems, forklifts, lifting equipment, HVAC systems, and filtration systems.
  • Install, replace, and upgrade light fixtures, including LED retrofits and high-bay lighting, to support efficient and reliable facility lighting.
  • Run conduit and wiring, and relocate power drops to meet changing production and facility needs.
  • Repair electrical components such as outlets, panels, and breakers to ensure safe and reliable power distribution.
  • Perform office and interior buildouts and remodeling, including layout changes and small construction projects within the facility.
  • Install and repair piping, sinks, and restrooms, ensuring proper function and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Install and repair HVAC systems, including ductwork, units, and thermostats, to maintain a stable and comfortable environment.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup, integration, and safe operation.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain both new and existing production and production support equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the maintenance electronic tracking system for all maintenance activities.
  • Follow and uphold all safety policies and procedures related to maintenance activities, including compliance with building code requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work area at all times.
  • Take direction effectively while working independently on projects, staying productive and on task without constant supervision.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58572.80 - $58572.80/yr.

- Weekly Pay - Bluecross Blueshield of Kansas - This will kick in 1st of the month after 60 days - 90 day probationary peroid - Will be provided company uniforms, they will put them on and leave them there each day for work - Climate controlled plant; around 62-65 degrees - 1-3yrs will receive 1 week vacation, 3-7yrs 2 weeks vacation - Will be in Union - 401K through John Hancock
