Job description

At Purple Wave, every successful auction starts with confidence-confidence that assets are listed accurately, ownership can transfer smoothly, and every detail meets the standards our buyers, sellers, and teams depend on. The Title Operations Specialist Tier 2 plays a key role in making that happen.

TheTitle Operations Specialist Tier 2 works in a team driven environment from the Manhattan, KS office and reports directly to the Title Operations Manager. This role involves ensuring the title transfer-ability for assets to be sold on PurpleWave.com by meticulously adhering to state laws, collaborating with the Listing Operations team and publishing items with a clear path to transfer of ownership. The specialist works to ensure Purple Wave title, contract, legal and listing standards are being met and works with the sales team, team members, other departments and sellers to achieve those standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Title Operations Specialist Tier 1 coworkers with:
    • Process incoming and outgoing title documents, updating internal systems accordingly with high accuracy.
    • Update and maintain internal systems to accurately track the flow of work and information.
    • Monitor workflow processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with title transfer standards.
    • Coordinate with the Lender Services team to ensure consistent adherence to standards, protocols and processes.
    • Collaborate within the Title Operations team to learn and solve problems.
  • Review contracts, titles and title documents for transfer-ability, identifying errors, omissions and accuracy for each asset.

  • Collaborate with other departments, especially the Listing Operations team, to ensure seamless processes.
  • Monitor all forms of communication for incoming questions, documents, updates and take appropriate action.

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of titles standards, processes and procedures in order to provide a quality service to our buyers and sellers.
  • Collaborate with the Title Operations Manager to maintain and enforce comprehensive standards for title transfer-ability.
  • Collaborate with the Purple Wave sales team in the field to assist and answer questions as needed.
  • Monitor workflow processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with title transfer standards.
  • Coordinate with the Lender Services team to ensure consistent adherence to standards, protocols and processes.
  • Assist in updating internal training documents and materials on the latest state laws and regulations for new employees and sales staff to ensure a clear understanding of title transfer protocols.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to assist team members, other departments, buyers and sellers with title issues, finding resolutions and efficiencies.
  • Investigates, resolves or elevates issues regarding asset transfer-ability.
  • Ensure standards of listings for all title or title-able assets are maintained.
  • Assist in updating training materials for new employees and sales staff to ensure a clear understanding of title transfer protocols.
  • Complete weekly out-of-bounds title reviews and communicate to relevant parties.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience with titles.
  • Proficiency in using software and applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.

Working Settings:

  • Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime.
  • Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, overtime may be required to achieve due dates. Overtime is compensated in accordance with US Department of Labor requirements.
  • Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $19.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour and is paid bi-weekly.
  • Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company's monthly revenue result and are paid on a "percent to plan" payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
