Description
Purpose
To plan, buy and expedite delivery of requirements identified by the business system or department representatives while minimizing transactions, cost, and inventory.
Responsibilities
  • Create and enter Purchase Orders within cost estimate to be delivered on time.
  • Maintain/expedite delivery schedules with suppliers, relay supplier delivery information to appropriate departments.
  • Raise RFQs and evaluate proposals to ensure most appropriate supplier is determined.
  • Manage supplier scorecards to ensure supplier OTD and Quality meets requirements.
  • Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Work as a member of the supply chain team on various projects.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended period of time.
  • Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Moderate twisting and bending.
  • Moderate climbing on step stools or platforms.

Required Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Safety glasses/shields, appropriate manufacturing closed toed footwear

Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • 2-3 years Aerospace Manufacturing experience required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines (strong time management)
  • Ability to learn and use ERP/MRP systems (Epicor desired)
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office (excel, word, outlook)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
