Job Title

Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

Experienced Purchasing Manager with 10+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, responsible for sourcing manufactured and commercial goods, negotiating supplier agreements, managing procurement operations, controlling inventory costs, and ensuring uninterrupted production through strategic supplier management and supply chain coordination. Proven ability to reduce costs, improve vendor performance, and support lean manufacturing initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production and operational goals

· Source and procure materials, components, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations

· Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supplier agreements

· Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics

· Collaborate cross functionally to forecast material requirements

· Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while minimizing excess inventory carrying costs

· Lead RFQ/RFP processes and analyze supplier quotations

· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procurement regulations

· Resolves supply chain disruptions and implement contingency sourcing plans

· Analyze purchasing and data generate cost-savings initiatives and procurement reports

· Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

· Supervise and mentor purchasing staff

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field

· 10+ years of purchasing/procurement experience within a manufacturing environment

· Extensive technical and commercial knowledge in machine tool sector.

· Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing

· Knowledge of domestic and international logistics preferred but not required

· Understanding of inventory control, productions planning, and manufacturing processes
