Purchasing Agent/ Expeditor

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Agent in the electro-mechanical market. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with TE, Tyco, 3M, Parker, Chomerics and computer-related products. Know how to evaluate market conditions and different suppliers. Communication skills will help you to negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships. The goal is to acquire supplies that are critical for the success of our business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Entering purchase orders and submitting them to suppliers.
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyze quote offers.
  • Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
  • Manage key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with terms of contracts.
  • Review supplies to ensure quality.
  • Monitor stock levels.
  • Keep vendors records updated.

Skills

  • Experience in purchasing electrical=mechanical components and computer related products.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.

Purchasing: Responsible for Purchase orders, processing (RFQ), supplier’s quotes and monitoring the status of materials and supplies for assigned projects, to be on time delivery and ensure timely scheduled date for delivery. Review Bills of Material or BOM with Sr. Purchasing Agent or Division Manager to determine how crucial the material is when to Expedite and ensure timely delivery and back-order follow-up.

Knowledge: Process Purchase Orders, Track purchase orders and maintain log of released workbench materials, quantities, materials and supplies for assigned projects exercising business judgment to execute a comprehensive purchasing strategy resulting in superior cost, quality, and availability. materials and supplies for assigned projects.

Skills Preferred: ERP environment, Microsoft Office tools, Syteline Software. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience Required: Minimum of one year experience in general purchasing experience in manufacturing. + Having a manufacturing background in the defense industry is a plus.
