We're hiring a Purchasing Assistant to support our onsite purchasing operations in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working cross-functionally with vendors, sales, and receiving teams.
What You'll Do
  • Obtain and verify vendor order acknowledgements
  • Provide purchase order updates to sales (dates, delays, changes)
  • Assist with PO updates, including costs and delivery dates
  • Reconcile invoice discrepancies with buyers
  • Partner with receiving to share required paperwork
  • Build working relationships with vendor contacts
  • Support consignment management and system updates
  • Maintain reports, records, and On-Time Delivery data
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and vendors

What We're Looking For
Required
  • 6-12 months of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred
  • Associate's Degree
