Job description

Our client, a water technology provider, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a 4 month contract opportunity located in Charlotte, NC.


This role hybrid, working two days remote and three days onsite each week. Work schedule can be either 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.


Job Duties:

  • Responsible for non-engineering procurements, sourcing, updating prices and part numbers in ERP, setting up new vendors, and managing day-to-day vendor and PO tasks.
  • Procures materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements cost-effective purchasing strategies within the organization.
  • Reviews and evaluates purchase requisitions, recommends process improvements, and oversees change orders.
  • Identifies and develops new sources of supply; prepares and issues bid requests, specifications, formal invitations, and requests for proposals.
  • Analyzes bids, quotes, and proposals; selects and awards vendors for procurement needs; and manages contract administration.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant purchasing, procurement or sourcing experience.


Pay Rate: $36-38/hour
