ChristianaCare is looking for afull-time Materials Receiverat our Distribution Centerto greet drivers upon arrival, ensure products enter correct staging area for receiving, inspect products for damage, verify contents against paperwork, and receive into system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verify inbound products against bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders (POs) to confirm correct quantities, items, and pack sizes
  • Inspect product condition and document discrepancies (e.g., shortages/overages)
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to key in expiration dates, receive into inventory and print/apply internal labels
  • Check temperature compliance for refrigerated/frozen goods
  • Maintain a clean, organized receiving area
  • Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) according to safety protocols.
  • Receive and inspect incoming material in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure paperwork is complete and legible
  • Escalate discrepancies to clerk on duty
  • Stage received material for put away team
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by management
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school graduate with one (1) year of Materials Receiving/Distribution
  • Experience in material handling equipment
  • Prior data entry experience and /or courses preferred.
Working Conditions:

Frequent Exposure to dirt, debris, noise and inclement weather.

Physical Demands:

Incumbent must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and be able to pull approx. 2,000 lbs. Position requires substantial amounts of standing, sitting, bending and stooping.

This position has a starting rate of $19.90 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $23.32 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $24.45.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
