Position: Receiver

Department: Receiving

Reports To: Receiving Lead / Material Handling Supervisor

Position Summary

The Receiver supports daily inbound operations by accurately receiving shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, safely unloading freight, and ensuring products are processed efficiently while following company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound products accurately and efficiently.
  • Safely unload containers, trailers, and inbound freight, including physical handling of products.
  • Verify purchase orders, quantities, serial numbers, and product condition.
  • Identify and report shortages, damages, overages, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and carriers to resolve issues.
  • Process receiving transactions and inventory updates in EKW/Epicor.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, Q-Grid, and QC locations.
  • Complete required receiving documentation and report refused shipments.
  • Support inventory accuracy through scanning and system transactions.
  • Assist other warehouse departments as needed.
  • Maintain reliable, on-time attendance and follow all safety policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with EKW/Epicor or RF scanners is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow standardized warehouse processes.
  • Comfortable using computers, handheld scanners, and warehouse systems.
  • Ability to operate or become certified on forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks.
