Job Description Summary:Buyer will analyze supply and demand levels, issue purchase orders accordingly to suppliers, and continually monitor the process of the order to ensure timely shipping & receiving of products. Will plan and implement sourcing and procurement strategies.Job Description:
  • Analyze forecast data and execute purchase plan to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
  • Identify & analyze potential issues to ensure demands are fulfilled.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers while also being able to negotiate and maximize company benefits.
  • Collaborate with related internal teams to maintain an optimum level of inventory.
  • Maximize profit through the development and implementation of a strategic buying plan.
  • Manage associate buyers.
  • Develop strong knowledge of products for production scheduling & quality management.
  • Continuously strive to produce more visible accurate and timely schedules.
  • Follow up with suppliers on production schedule, shipping schedule, pending claims or quality issues, production capability issues, etc.
  • Provide shipping directions to suppliers & take necessary steps to ensure products are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Problem solving skills, clear communication skills, detail oriented, time management skills, and proficient knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
