Job description

Clayton Services is searching for a Purchasing Manager to join a growing distribution company in North Houston. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations, managing inventory strategy across multiple locations, and leading a team to ensure product availability aligns with business demand.


Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $120,000 - $140,000/year (depending on experience)

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage daily purchasing and inventory operations across multiple branch locations
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that support company growth and service goals
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing, terms, and rebates
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
  • Forecast seasonal demand and adjust purchasing plans accordingly
