Job description

The client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing & Materials Coordinator to support our manufacturing and installation operations. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring production teams have the materials needed to meet customer deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor order fulfillment.
  • Receive, inspect, inventory, and control materials flow.
  • Manage and improve inventory control procedures and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and sales, to align materials management with operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in materials handling.
  • KPIs include Cost of Goods Sold and Project Readiness Rate as well as standard Operations metrics.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of purchasing, materials management, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience.
  • Experience in the cabinet & mill arena are a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven knowledge of Quickbooks and Salesforce are a significant plus
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driven to success and continuous improvement is critical
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
