Our Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the success of projects across all Bleuwave divisions.


Position Summary


The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing procurement activities across all Bleuwave divisions, including construction, service, and maintenance. This role ensures timely, cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting company-wide operational goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • • Develop and manage company-wide purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors for all divisions.
  • • Coordinate purchasing needs across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, handyman, and general contracting projects.
  • • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • • Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and estimators to forecast material needs.
  • • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to avoid project delays.
  • • Maintain accurate purchasing records, budgets, and cost reports.
  • • Implement and manage preferred vendor programs and supplier evaluations.
  • • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate bulk purchasing, and reduce waste.
  • • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and invoicing with suppliers.
  • • Train and mentor purchasing staff, ensuring consistent practices across divisions.


Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • • 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally within construction, MEP trades, or related industries.
  • • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/purchasing software (experience with Procore, ServiceTitan, or QuickBooks a plus).
  • • Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple divisions and teams.
  • • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
