Job description

United Concrete Products is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead procurement and inventory operations at our precast concrete manufacturing facility. If you're skilled at negotiating with vendors, optimizing stock levels, and leading a team in a fast-paced industrial environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
  • Source and purchase raw materials (rebar, wire mesh, admixtures) and production supplies
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to control costs
  • Manage inventory levels for raw materials, tools, and finished goods
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve discrepancies
  • Supervise and develop a team of buyers and inventory staff
  • Partner with Production and Logistics to keep materials flowing on schedule
  • Track vendor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Experience with ERP/inventory software
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools

Nice to Have
  • Experience in precast concrete, ready-mix, or construction materials manufacturing
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle/fleet parts procurement
