About the position

This role oversees branch inventory and supply planning, driving performance, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team to support overall business goals.

What you'll do:

  • Establishes, tracks and communicates branch targets related to inventory and service performance
  • Manages, develops, mentors and trains purchasing personnel including a team of Supply Planners, Forecaster and Inventory Coordinator
  • Works proactively with purchasing and sales teams to monitor and reduce underperforming inventory
  • Assesses purchasing options and completes purchase approvals
  • Establishes goals and strategies for improved forecast performance for the branch and works directly with the Forecaster and Sales team to review performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Works closely with other department managers to meet and exceed branch goals
  • Hires, promotes, changes responsibilities of, evaluates and recommends salary increases for staff directly supervised
  • Other duties as required 

What you'll need:

  • University degree or specialized certification (PMAC, APICS, or related work experience)
  • Ability to analyze alternatives, use judgment and initiative in managing inventory
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced with ERP - MRP systems
  • Must be highly organized
  • Minimum (2) years of management experience required

Pay and benefits:

This position is currently vacant. The annual expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
