Job description

Family owned and operated, 2nd generation flooring company is seeking a reliable and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for the efficient ordering, acquisition, and coordination of materials that keep our projects on schedule and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, order, and acquire flooring and related materials from suppliers
  • Manage logistics, delivery schedules, and material flow to jobsites
  • Coordinate closely with operations and project teams to align material availability with installation schedules
  • Track orders, resolve shortages or delays, and maintain accurate order status in accordance with installation schedules
  • Process purchase orders and related documentation
  • Support cost control through competitive sourcing and vendor management

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in purchasing, materials coordination, or a related role (construction or flooring industry experience a plus)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Drive)
