SRC is looking to add a Purchaser/Procurement Specialist to our team in North Charleston, SC.
  • Managing, tracking and executing various types of contract vehicles for Navy C4ISR programs

Requirements
  • High School GED and minimum of 5 Years cumulative experience
  • Specific experience must include:
    • Two years of Navy Integrated Logistics Support experience
    • Two years of Life Cycle Support of a shipboard system
    • Two years of DoD/Navy Purchasing/Procurements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing the following type of contract actions: P-Card (Purchase Card), MAC (Multiple Award Contract), SEWP (Solution Enterprise Wide Procurement), SAP (Simplified Acquisition Procedures) DLA (Defense Logistics Agency), MILSTRIP (Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures), and GSA (General Services Administration) contract vehicles
  • Ability to work with Government Contracting Specialists and Government IPT Leads to finalize, review and accept best price quotes/proposals from vendors in order to receive purchase orders
  • Familiarity in review and editing modifications to existing contracts and purchase orders (i.e. MILSTRIP and Government Purchase Card orders) to include preparing RFP (request for proposals) and related solicitation documents
  • Ability to use productivity tools to track and receive material contracts

Desired Skills
  • Completed DAU Training related (Defense Acquisition University): Acquisition and Logistics Training
  • ILS demand planning experience
  • Experience with purchasing for Navy C4ISR submarine systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FIAR (Financial Improvements and Audit Readiness) procurement policies and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Navy ERP application
