Boys Town is seeking a collaborative and results-driven Director of Procurement Services to lead enterprise-wide procurement, purchasing, vendor management, and inventory operations. In this role, you will oversee Contract Management, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, Accounts Payable, and Travel & Expense Report Management. You develop and execute strategies that drive cost efficiency, operational excellence and regulatory compliance while supporting the organization's mission and goals. We are looking for a collaborative and strategic individual with a proven track record of leadership.
Position is On Site in OmahaMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Effectively leads all aspects of the organization's end-to-end procurement function to ensure support of organizational goals.
  • Provides strategic direction, vision and leadership to the organization's procurement function; is a trusted advisor to executive leadership and internal stakeholders for all procurement related matters.
  • Works with key stakeholders to develop, maintain, and communicate procurement policies, strategies and practices to ensure alignment with the organization's needs and mission.
  • Promotes a culture of integrity, customer service, and accountability within all procurement-related operations.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team across procurement functions.
  • Heads crossfunctional collaboration with finance, IT, legal, compliance, and program service leaders.
  • Establishes, analyzes and reports business analytics, KPIs, and customer satisfaction criteria for procurement.
  • Oversees the full contract lifecycle , including RFP development, negotiation, execution, renewal, and performance monitoring.
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of the centralized contract management system; ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures contract compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Partners with legal, compliance, and business leaders to mitigate risk and optimize contract outcomes.
  • Directs centralized purchasing operations to achieve best pricing, quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Leads vendor selection, evaluation, and relationship management activities.
  • Implements strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce costs, enhance value, and support organizational priorities.
  • Oversees procurement system management (ERP, purchasing platforms, supplier punchouts) and ensures continuous system/process improvement.
  • Oversees warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory, efficient distribution, and timely fulfillment of organizational needs.
  • Optimizes storage, logistics, and supply chain processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Ensures proper stewardship of assets and adherence to inventory controls.
  • Provides leadership and oversight for accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversees internal controls to ensure compliance, prevent fraud, and maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversees the organization's travel program, ensuring policy compliance, cost-effective vendor agreements, and traveler safety.
  • Evaluates travel and expense report management technologies and tools for effectiveness and user experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong knowledge of contracting, purchasing, inventory management, and accounts payable processes.
  • Experience leading through the contract management lifecycle (CLM) function and leveraging associated technology.
  • Ability to strategize, influence, challenge and drive change in a matrix-based organization.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to create and lead cohesive and productive teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain leadership required.
  • Experience leading multiple functional areas required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CPPB, CPPO) preferred.
  • Healthcare procurement experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday ERP preferred.
