Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking a Purchasing Clerk/Expeditor to join our team.

Position Overview:

Purchasing Clerk/Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that Century has the supplies and inventory it needs to function according to schedule. Duties include communicating with suppliers about the status of supplies, problem-solving to reduce the impact of late shipments and submitting modified purchase orders to vendors. This position is also responsible for order fulfillment demands by either rescheduling in or rescheduling out delivery dates on purchase orders. Communicate any discrepancies or shortage/overage to the supervisor/lead.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Track estimated arrival dates for shipments and note the cause of any changes or postponements.
  • Contact suppliers to determine delivery status and inform stakeholders of potential delays.
  • Maintain a friendly professional relationship with Century suppliers to ensure their business is valued as a priority.
  • Communicate all Purchase Order problems with the Buyer and assist in changes if need be.
  • Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations
  • Convey any order discrepancies, shipment shortages, or shipment overages to Management

Requirements:
