Manufacturing Buyer – Direct Hire
Location: Clearwater, FL
Salary: Up to $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Join a leading manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and cutting-edge technology! We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Buyer to support a fast-paced production environment by ensuring materials, components, and services are available to meet customer demand and production schedules.

This is an excellent opportunity for a purchasing professional who enjoys supplier relationships, negotiation, data analysis, and solving supply chain challenges while working cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Accounting, and Operations teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to improve cost, quality, delivery, and overall performance
  • Purchase production materials including electronic components, printed circuit boards, assemblies, machined parts, custom products, MRO supplies, and services
  • Review MRP/ERP demand and convert requirements into purchase orders
  • Monitor supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to support production needs
  • Analyze purchasing, inventory, and spend data to drive informed buying decisions
  • Maintain supplier data, lead times, pricing, order quantities, and purchasing parameters within ERP systems
  • Identify supply risks, shortages, obsolescence concerns, and alternate sourcing opportunities
  • Coordinate outsourced manufacturing and subcontracted services with approved vendors
  • Support engineering changes, ECOs, and supplier change notifications
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier communications, and documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving efforts
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience in an MRP/ERP-driven manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation, sourcing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in Word and Outlook
  • Experience with purchasing systems, ERP/MRP platforms, and inventory control processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience purchasing electronic components, PCB assemblies, machined parts, custom products, MRO supplies, or subcontract manufacturing services is highly preferred
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in purchasing, materials, supply chain, or manufacturing environments will be considered
