Job description

The Role 

Gotham Greens is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to join our Operations team at any of the greenhouses in our national network (CA, CO, GA, IL, MD, NY, RI, TX, VA ). This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of product inventory and will be the subject matter expert on SAGE for all facilities, and Operations Department. This role reports to Director of Operations, East.  

What You’ll Do 

ERP Management & Support  

  • Execute the day-to-day support of SAGE across the operations network. 

  • Provide training and guidance on SAGE to facility operations leaders as needed. 

  • Maintain the training library for production, inventory control, and distribution systems.  

Inventory Control  

  • Own and execute the Inventory Control Program with close support from local facility leadership, including developing best practice SOPs and process workflows. 

  • Train the Operations team on inventory control processes and best practices. 

  • Coordinate and oversee end of month inventory counts with an eye for detail to drive accuracy and timely end of month, quarter, and annual closes. Assist with reconciliation of inventory variances. 

  • Review and process daily inventory cycle-count adjustments submitted by Plant Operations teams. 

  • Monitor all inventory control transactions for accuracy and timeliness. 

  • Act as a liaison to facility leadership and production planning to resolve inventory gaps and discrepancies affecting sales order allocation, transfers, and donations, and improve workflows and processes.  

  • Bill of materials (BOM) reconciliation with facility leadership and purchasing. 

Reporting & Data  

  • Provide weekly review and analysis of KPIs: Inventory Adjustments, Transfer Report, PO Invoicing (Sage related receiving), Positive/Negative WIP, Compost, Utilization, Production Data, etc. 

  • Provide periodic reporting for Operations and Accounting leadership.

Who You Are 

  • 3-4 years’ experience in Operations 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent  

  • Knowledge of operations, manufacturing, and inventory control principles  

  • Advanced experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), preferably SAGE focused 

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel 

  • Collaborative, team-oriented with willingness to partner and communicate with cross-functional teams  

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills 

  • Proactive self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 

  • Solution oriented, with attention to detail and accuracy-minded  

  • Must have valid authorization to work in the U.S.A. 

  • Located in either CA, CO, GA, IL, MD, NY, RI, TX, or VA and able to work onsite 5x/week. Visit our website to learn more about our locations.
