Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytically minded intern to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, you will gain hands-on experience across procurement, Logistics, supplier management, and process improvement. This role offers meaningful exposure to real business data and decision-making - your analysis will directly inform how we manage suppliers, resolve shortages, and drive cost savings.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
  • Maintain and update Supply Chain KPI dashboards to provide leadership with accurate, timely visibility into performance.
  • Analyze procurement, supplier, inventory, and shortage data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Procurement & Supplier Analytics
  • Prepare supplier performance scorecards covering quality, delivery, and responsiveness metrics.
  • Support spend analysis and cost-saving initiatives through data gathering, cleansing, and modeling.
  • Track supplier delivery performance and maintain visibility of open issues through resolution.

Planning & Shortage Visibility
  • Compile shortage reports by Manufacturing Order to support production planning and escalation.
  • Monitor reschedules, cancellations, and backlog trends and flag emerging risks.
  • Assist with demand vs. supply analysis to support capacity and inventory decisions.

Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for key supply chain workflows.
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including data collection and documentation review.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in reporting and daily processes.

Strategic Research
  • Conduct market, supplier, and industry research to inform sourcing and category strategies.
  • Benchmark best practices and support the development of business cases for supply chain initiatives.
  • Conduct spend analytics and market intelligence, including supply/demand dynamics, pricing trends, and risk assessments.

Supplier Management
  • Support day-to-day supplier management, including regular manufacturing follow-ups and status updates.
  • Assist with supplier monitoring: review supplier on-time delivery daily, and process and submit monthly purchasing team and supplier performance reports.
  • Assist with the handling of Non-Conforming Material (NCM), including notifying suppliers and processing rejected material for return.

Logistics & Import Analytics
  • Analyze logistics routes, 3PL performance, and quote trends to recommend cost-saving initiatives.
  • Continuously review current freight lanes and assess consolidation opportunities.
  • Support the freight audit, payment, and reporting process.
  • Assist with claims processes, reporting, and related training.

Qualifications / Skills
  • Students are currently enrolled in classes leading to a degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering or other business disciplines.
