Purchasing Coordinator (Contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to support our procurement team in Andover, MA. In this role, you will help manage purchasing activities, process purchase orders, communicate with vendors, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of procurement operations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills who are looking to grow their experience in purchasing and supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities include managing internal and external purchasing mailboxes for purchase requests and inquiries, receiving, reviewing, and processing new purchasing requests from internal teams, creating, issuing, and managing purchase orders, tracking incoming purchase orders and maintaining accurate records, updating sales orders with vendor information, purchase order details, tracking numbers, and estimated delivery dates, working closely with the production floor to confirm receipt of purchased materials and verify accuracy of order details, communicating with vendors regarding replacements, returns, and order-related issues, generating and reviewing purchase order reports, matching invoices, purchase orders, and credit memos to ensure accuracy, managing accounts payable mailbox inquiries and support related activities, and maintaining organized documentation and procurement records.

Qualifications include 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field preferred, an associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, high attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and fluent English required.
