Job description

Position: Retail Store Associate -Part-Time
LaGrange, Georgia
Starting salary: paid weekly

B. Turners is seeking to fill a part-time Retail Sales Associate position.
We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service. The candidate should be able to work a flexible schedule INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 30 lbs., squat, bend and reach. This part-time position can expect to attend and maintain fitting rooms from time to time.
Our Associates love helping people and working with a team. Our part-time Associates develop skills that included listening, conflict resolutions, adapting, time management and attention to detail. This is a great entry level position.
Requirements:
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must have a cheerful, positive personality.
  • Must have the ability to operate the cash register.
  • Must be a team player and help others.
  • MUST have the ability to work weekends and during peak holiday periods.
  • Background check and drug test required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service. Greet customers and assist them with questions and in locating merchandise.
  • Be knowledgeable of all store products, in-store promotions, and advertising.
  • Frequent straightening, restocking, and arranging displays.
  • Maintain pleasing, clean, and orderly work areas at the registers, departments and all store areas.
  • Must be able to operate a cash register and accept payment accurately and efficiently.
  • Display store merchandise in such a way that it stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase.
  • Attend and maintain fitting rooms.
  • Price and process merchandise from stock areas to the sales floor, replenish merchandise and request reorders to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Assist with floor moves, displays amp; store recovery.
  • Communicate any customer issues or requests with management.
  • Work the entire assigned shift as scheduled: Punctual job presence is required.
  • Demonstrate the SPIRIT of Spalding Hosiery Shoppe: Safety, Positive Attitude, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, Teamwork.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time, typically entire shift
  • Able to walk and continuously move around all areas of the store
  • Able to lift 30 pounds and maneuver heavier boxes with hand trucks
  • Able to squat, bend, reach, climb a ladder
  • Visual acuity to read sales tags and operate a cash register
  • Manual dexterity to operate a cash register, process merchandise and maintain sales floor
  • Able to report to work as scheduled including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must pass initial and periodic drug screens
  • Must pass a background check
