About the job Warehouse / Driver Associate
The Warehouse/Driver Associate is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Team in planning, warehouse documentation, and inventory control of assigned projects. This position will require a clear driving record with the ability to operate company vehicles as well as pull 12'-15' open and boxed trailers. The ideal candidate will be required to work closely with the Purchasing Manager and purchasing department but also work independently in coordinating project details that include, but not limited to the duties and responsibilities below. The position will be either a part-time or a full-time role with an hourly wage between $18/hour to $20/hour, commensurate on relevant education, related experience, and other factors.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain warehouse inventory.
  • Ensure all orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Issue purchase orders for office or job-related equipment
  • Review discrepancies in packing slips which are not in complete agreement with purchase orders.
  • Processing returns of unused or incorrect equipment.
  • Utilize shipping software for return orders, i.e., UPS, Freight lines and USPS.
  • Assist with reports and documentation when required.
  • Receipt of goods into warehouse and jobsite allocation.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
  • Pick-up and delivery of materials
  • Staging of needed equipment for site personnel
  • Coordination of the equipment needed with Project Managers
  • Receiving equipment into the Warehouse
  • Inventory documentation of stored materials
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedure
  • Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
  • Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages (ie MS Word, Excel, Outlook and accounting software)
  • Ability to learn or have experience in operating a forklift.

Education, License and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2yr warehouse experience. (Supervisor Experience preferred)
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle while pulling a large trailer.
  • Early start time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires sitting, prolonged standing, walking, handling, gripping, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead with force. Also requires stooping, crouching, crawling on knees and working along floors/sub floors.
  • Ability to physically transport ladders up to 12 feet in height and lift ladders off vehicle roof racks. Must be willing and able to climb and stand on ladders and scaffolding.
  • Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes overhead.
  • Maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer job site badging requirements.
  • Willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.
  • Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
  • Maintain a valid Drivers' License.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodation will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.

  • As needed.
