Description

The Inventory and Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading In-Telecom's procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This role develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, optimizes inventory levels, and ensures materials are available to support customer commitments while maximizing profitability and cash flow. The position partners closely with Sales, Operations, Projects, Finance, and the Warehouse team to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company's continued growth. 

Key Responsibilities

 
·         Develop and execute purchasing strategies that support company objectives for cost, quality, delivery, and profitability.
·         Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic supplier relationships, contracts, pricing, and service-level expectations.
·         Issue and manage purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
·         Oversee inventory planning, replenishment, and control to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
·         Analyze demand trends and forecasts to support purchasing decisions and working capital management.
·         Partner with Finance to develop purchasing forecasts, inventory budgets, and inventory performance reporting.
·         Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within ConnectWise PSA and related systems.
·         Lead warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, cycle counts, shipping, material handling, and warehouse safety.
·         Develop and monitor KPIs including inventory turns, inventory accuracy, vendor on-time delivery, purchase price variance, fill rates, and obsolete inventory.
·         Identify and implement continuous process improvements across purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations.
·         Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable legal requirements.
·         Lead, coach, and develop purchasing and warehouse team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position will require lifting, twisting, standing, bending, sitting or crouching at least 90% of the time. Frequent use of a phone and keyboard will be repetitive. The employee must be able to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The nature of this position will require the employee to work in various elements (Inside, Outside, Sitting, Standing, etc. and in various temperatures) 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·         3+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
·         Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing supplier relationships and cross-departmental collaboration.
·         Extremely well organized, detailed-oriented, results driven, and highly self-motivated.
·         Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
·         Ability to balance multiple priorities and provide solutions.
·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing
·         5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
·         1-3 years of experience in the technology industry.
·         Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing supplier relationships and cross-departmental collaboration.
·         Extremely well organized, detailed-oriented, results driven, and highly self-motivated.
·         Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
·         Ability to balance multiple priorities and provide solutions.
·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
