Position Overview:

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures operational efficiency by managing the CMMS software, including the creation, scheduling, and closing of work orders. In this role, you will document, track, and report on maintenance activities while partnering closely with diverse stakeholders to meet plant objectives, maximize uptime, and foster a productive, reliable environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Safety & Environment: Model a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies for staff and visitors.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with the lead to assign, track, and complete maintenance tasks, requests, and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Operations & Systems: Interface with CMMS software, maintain machinery logs, and write/implement SOPs and JHAs.
  • Inventory & Purchasing: Manage supply inventory and procure tools/materials, adhering to company purchasing policies.
  • Vendor Management: Source, screen, and coordinate external service providers.
  • Team Support: Assist with hands-on maintenance tasks as schedule permits.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5th class power engineering certificate.

    Must be at least 18 years old;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all departments within the company, including operations, maintenance, human resources, payroll, accounting, etc.;
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines; must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach;
  • Strong customer service orientation to include increasing customer satisfaction, meeting customer expectations, solving customer problems, soliciting opinions and ideas from customers and responding effectively to the internal customer;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) particularly with MS Excel and MS Word;
  • Experience with computer systems and applications such as Windows, databases, the internet, email and in-house ERP software's;
  • Must maintain high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations;
  • Position continually requires demonstrated discretion, tact and diplomacy;
  • Work requires continual attention-to-detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines;
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Prior industrial facility maintenance experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid Driver's License with driving record that meets company insurance standards;
  • Confined space, forklift and first aid is highly desirable
  • WHMIS or ability to obtain.
  • Successful completion of the required airport badging process
