Purchaser Inventory Control Jobs in Miami, FL (NOW HIRING)

We are hiring a Purchasing, Inventory Control & Logistics Manager to own the flow of material from purchase order to shop floor to shipping dock. You will run MRP, keep BOMs and inventory records accurate, manage domestic and international logistics, and be the person Operations, Sales, and Accounting come to when they need a straight answer about material or job cost.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role, not a desk-only procurement seat.

What You'll Own

Purchasing & Procurement

• Manage end-to-end purchasing: requisitions, purchase orders, expediting, and supplier coordination
• Run MRP and demand planning to drive buy signals against work order and job demand
• Source and qualify suppliers; request quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Monitor supplier performance, on-time delivery, and quality; build durable vendor relationships
• Secure timely procurement of raw materials, fabricated components, and operational supplies

Inventory Control & Materials Management

• Maintain accurate on-hand and allocated inventory aligned to production and sales demand
• Own BOM accuracy and revision control in partnership with Engineering
• Manage lot and serial tracking for traceability from receipt through finished goods
• Monitor inventory transactions, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies at the root cause
• Run cycle counts and physical inventories; establish and enforce inventory control procedures
• Optimize inventory turns while protecting job schedules from stockouts

Production Support & Shop Floor Control

• Support work order release, material issue, and backflush to keep jobs moving
• Partner with production on shop floor control, material staging, and shortage resolution
• Support standard costing and inventory costing; help maintain cost rolls and analyze purchase price and material usage variances
• Work with Accounting to resolve job costing and WIP discrepancies

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and carrier coordination
• Prepare and manage shipping and export documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices)
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, container scheduling, and freight
• Manage small parcel shipping (UPS, FedEx) and internal delivery needs
• Ensure compliance with shipping, import/export, and regulatory requirements

ERP & Continuous Improvement

• Use the ERP system as the system of record for purchasing, inventory, and job cost data
• Ensure data accuracy across purchasing, inventory, and production transactions
• Support cross-functional teams with ERP reporting and inquiries
• Identify and drive process improvements in ERP workflows and supply chain efficiency

What You Bring

Required

• 5+ years in purchasing, inventory control, and/or materials management — gained inside a manufacturing operation
• Hands-on, working experience with: manufacturing purchasing; inventory control; Bills of Material (BOMs); Material Requirements Planning (MRP); work orders; shop floor control; lot/serial tracking; and standard/inventory costing
• Strong ERP system experience (Syspro highly preferred)
• Solid command of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management fundamentals
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation ability across suppliers and internal teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business software
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience

Strongly Preferred

• Background in an engineered-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order (CTO) manufacturer — custom, low-volume, high-mix builds
• Experience with long-lead-time components, engineering change orders, and job-based costing
• Comfort walking the floor daily and working shoulder-to-shoulder with production and engineering
