Job Description
The Manager, Warehouse and Inventory is accountable for end-to-end warehouse execution and multi-site inventory performance across a network of distribution/warehouse locations supporting manufacturing and customer fulfillment. This position owns service, cost, safety, accuracy, and working-capital outcomes through standardized operating processes, strong systems governance (ERP/WMS), and continuous improvement. The Manager, Warehouse and Inventory drives consistent performance across sites, ensures materials availability for production, and enables on-time, accurate customer delivery through cross-functional leadership with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Transportation, and Customer Operations.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations across multiple sites (receiving, put-away, storage, staging, picking, packing, shipping) to ensure consistent service and execution.
  • Establish and enforce standard processes, safety (OSHA-aligned), 5S practices, and compliance across locations.
  • Optimize warehouse network design, including space utilization, slotting, and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead multi-site labor strategy, including staffing, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Own inventory accuracy and control for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across all locations.
  • Manage cycle counting, physical inventory, reconciliation processes, and variance resolution.
  • Drive reduction of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure accurate inbound receiving, inspection coordination, and transaction controls.
  • Oversee outbound operations to meet delivery, documentation, labeling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with transportation providers and internal departments to resolve service issues and improve performance.
  • Govern ERP/WMS usage, including master data, transaction discipline, and reporting standards.
  • Maintain and improve SOPs for warehouse and inventory processes to ensure training and compliance.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs (accuracy, productivity, fulfillment, turns) and lead corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure material flow and availability.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field, required
  • Equivalent experience may also be considered in lieu of education.
Experience:
  • 5 years of warehouse/inventory leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution environments, required
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving performance through standard work and KPIs, required
  • Multi-site operational leadership experience (standardization, governance, travel cadence), preferred
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement background with experience supporting Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) manufacturing environments, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient with ERP/WMS and Microsoft Office and the ability to translate data into operational actions, required
Certifications:
  • APICS (CPIM or CSCP), CLTD, or Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, material flow, and warehouse operations, required
  • Continued education or training in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, or supply chain analytics, preferred

Work Hours:
  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal (0%-25%)
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
