The Role We're seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Houston, Texas operations. In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for selling pumps, filtration systems, and fluid-handling equipment, managing a defined territory, and building long-term client relationships. If you have experience in equipment rentals and thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven sales environment, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and close new business while expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Promote CPE's rental equipment-including pumps and filtration systems-to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: cold calling, quoting, site visits, presentations, and contract negotiation.
  • Conduct weekly equipment demos (Tow-n-Shows) and monthly customer Lunch & Learns.
  • Provide consistent follow-up, weekly sales reporting, and active call tracking.
  • Host and participate in sales blitzes focused on target accounts and territories.
  • Stay active in trade associations and attend monthly networking events and trade shows.
  • Support after-hours/emergency sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction and up time.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including branch managers and operations teams.
  • Maintain a well-branded company vehicle stocked with up-to-date sales collateral.

What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in rental equipment, industrial services, or construction equipment.
  • Specific experience selling pumps, filtration systems, or related equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently.
