Process Leader
St. Catharines, ON | Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: $100,000–$115,000 + 15% Annual Performance Bonus

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a background in paper mill operations? We're seeking a hands-on Process Leader to oversee a team of 30–40 unionized employees within a continuous manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30–40 unionized production employees
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
  • Oversee daily production activities, troubleshoot operational issues, and minimize downtime
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production to achieve operational goals
  • Lead equipment, process, and chemical trials to improve manufacturing performance
  • Analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and budgets are consistently achieved
  • Foster positive labour relations while ensuring compliance with the collective agreement
What We're Looking For
  • Direct experience working in a paper mill is required
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading teams in a continuous manufacturing operation
  • Previous experience supervising employees in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
