The Radiology Technologist Ambulatory Services is responsible for performing specialized and difficult diagnostic imaging examinations of patients, ionizing radiation to render optimum images which are used to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions. This position conducts preliminary analysis on images and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images.The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients, to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures. In addition to imaging responsibilities, this position is responsible for other clinic functions that involve improving the health status, wellness and quality of life for customers, employees and the community as a whole through disease prevention, health promotion, and injury care. This position provides quality assessments, clinical care, testing, phlebotomy, injections, injury treatment, and education. This position, also, assists with clerical duties as needed.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • 3 days /12-hour schedule (8am-8pm M-F) days rotate as well as a Saturday rotation (8am-4pm); closed Sundays; schedules made ~1 month in advance

  • Seeking Rad Tech with MA experience or willingness to learn; blended Express Care, Working Well & HEA site seeing acute illness/injury, pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and family medicine

  • Provides comprehensive patient care and clinic support: rooming patients, vitals, weight, assessments, care planning, wound care (photos, dressings, measurements), specimen collection (venipuncture, finger sticks, urine), POC testing, and assisting with procedures and rehabilitation

  • Performs and documents diagnostics/testing: EKGs, functional/lift testing, audiometric testing, pulmonary function tests, and respirator fit testing with patient education on PAPRs/CAPRs

  • Delivers occupational health services including DOT/non-DOT drug screens (chain-of-custody) and breath alcohol testing per federal regulations

  • Triages walk-in patients for urgent/emergent conditions and treats injuries within scope of practice

  • Manages administrative duties: patient check-in/registration, EMR documentation, lab entry, copay collection, scheduling, phones, and clerical support

  • Supports clinic operations and offsite wellness events, including setup, supply coordination, and specimen handling

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's Degree Radiology-Required

  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association-required within 90 days of hire

  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)-Required

  • Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH) - State Licensing Board-Required

  • Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) - Indiana Department of Transportation
