The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pulmonologist to join the Division of Pulmonology, Allergy, and Immunology in Bluffton, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a new outpatient pulmonary practice in one of the fastest-growing regions in the state. The practice will serve a high-demand area with diverse pulmonary pathology, including sarcoidosis, asthma, COPD, and lung cancer diagnosis and management.

  • BC/BE in Pulmonary Disease

  • Sleep Medicine certification preferred

  • Interest in outpatient practice development, with future inpatient consult opportunities

Opportunity Details:

  • 100% outpatient pulmonary clinic with potential to expand into inpatient consult services

  • Manage chronic respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, emphysema, tuberculosis, and lung cancer

  • Access to advanced diagnostic services: pulmonary function testing, lab services, X-ray, and mobile CT

  • Full spectrum of bronchoscopy (hospital-based), including navigational bronchoscopy and EBUS

  • On-site Comprehensive Pulmonary Function Lab

  • Sleep Medicine Center located within the medical office building

  • Evaluation and treatment of sleep apnea and other sleep-related disorders

  • No call responsibilities

  • Monday-Friday, typical clinical hours

  • Productivity-based RVU compensation model

MUSC Health - Bluffton

The MUSC Health Bluffton Medical Pavilion, opening in spring 2026 at 700 Buckwalter Towne Boulevard, will be a three-story, 54,000-square-foot facility providing comprehensive medical services to the Bluffton community. The pavilion will consolidate primary care and a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and neurology. It will also house a satellite location of MUSC's Hollings Cancer Center, offering oncology, infusion, lab services, and a compounding pharmacy.
