The Publix Technology Services (PTS) Service/Installation (hybrid) Technician will provide IT technical support for the Southeastern Birmingham, AL area to primarily include installation, and repair and preventive maintenance of IT hardware in Publix retail stores, but also the installation and lifecycle of IT hardware.

Your Impact:
  • Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of IT hardware including:
    • Desktop computers
    • Servers
    • Laser and thermal printers
    • Point of sale systems
    • Barcode scanners
    • Weighing devices
    • Networking systems
  • Support Publix retail stores through on-site visits
  • Travel between store locations to perform technical tasks
  • Complete majority of work between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
  • Required to work rotating weekends
  • May be required to work holidays, as needed
  • Augment support in other geographic areas when required
