Publication Coordinator
Level: Journeyman  |  Work Location: Hybrid – McLean, VA
⚠ This position is contingent upon contract award.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Red Carrot is seeking a Publication Coordinator to manage the logistical and administrative lifecycle of document production, from intake through final publication, for the customer's research communications program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage scheduling and publication-cycle timelines for a high volume of documents
  • Track document versions through the full approval chain across editors, designers, and reviewers
  • Ensure all required sign-offs are obtained prior to publication
  • Coordinate intake and assignment of new publication requests through the project tracking system
  • Support monthly and ad hoc reporting on publication status and production milestones
  • Maintain organized records of production files, approvals, and correspondence
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or Liberal Arts
  • 3-10 years of experience in document management or publishing workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to obtain a USDOT Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
