About the Job

Senior bankers in Public Sectorare widely recognized as industry experts with consistently high performance in bringing bank and capital markets solutions to public entities (including issuers oftax exemptfinancing).Individuals are fully experienced, qualified relationship managers capable of independent activity.They have proven client relationship skills,as well as,extensive product knowledge, technicalexpertiseand astrong understanding of credit analysis and underwriting for balance sheet and/or public finance transaction execution.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for generation of new revenue through the origination, structuring and distribution of Key's products and services to public sector clients and prospects

  • Establish Trusted Advisor role and deepen client relationship byidentifyingthe client's financial and banking needs and providing recommendations and product solutions to resolve needs

  • Identifyall cross-sell opportunities and partner with product specialists such as Key Government Finance, Syndications, Enterprise Payments, Real Estate and Debt Capital Markets.

  • Identifiespotential problem credits and works withBanking Portfolio Management Groupto improve the bank's position.

  • Maintain credit quality of portfolio

Marginal Or Peripheral Functions

  • Provide technical and developmental support to more junior individuals on the team

  • Work with other team members within the region to promote other lines of business with referrals

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5years experience, with proven client relationship/sales abilitiesin the public sector

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting,Economicsor similar business discipline

  • Possess broad product knowledge and specific technicalexpertise

  • Exceptional at developing andmaintainingimportant client relationships and generating revenues from these relationships

  • Possess superior client relationship management, marketing presentation, and sales skills in addition to extensive knowledge of products and markets

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
