Job description

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, a premier senior living services non-profit organization, has a great opportunity to join our team at The Village of Westland as the Sales & Marketing Manager.  We invite you to help us create new possibilities in quality living for the seniors we serve.

The Sales & Marketing Manager will develop the marketing plan for the Village and oversee implementation of lead generation, retention activities and other sales efforts as defined in the plan. Will plan and implement networking, community outreach and public relation activities. Is responsible for the management and development of marketing staff. Work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing on articulating the "story" of The Village and other various projects.

Starting range between $74,401 based on experience.  Monthly & quarterly bonus opportunity. 


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Conduct supervisory activities such as hiring and firing staff, providing employee orientation and training, creating work schedules, coaching or disciplinary action, and approving employee time sheets for department.
  2. Coordinate and communicate with The Village internal marketing staff weekly, or as circumstances dictate, on sales activities and outreach.
  3. Identify, develop, or evaluate quarterly and annual marketing plan, strategy, and sales goals to promote products and Apply CCRC/IND/AL/SNF best sales practices and previous knowledge regarding most successful local marketplace approaches.
  4. Use sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability product lines and services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
  5. Coordinates all lead generation and retention activities in accordance to the sales goals and marketing plan.
  6. Coordinate or participate in community outreach and public relations
  7. Provide leadership in meeting and exceeding census
  8. Provide sales effort analysis and develop improvement plan when needed to sustain census goals.
  9. Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote
  10. Develop and maintain networking and target market CRM database of key decision influencers, target groups, events, media, and advertising costs per run, follow up actions, and history with target markets.
  11. Coordinate and arrange photographic opportunities and media relation activities
  12. Identify cross marketing opportunities and areas of networking interfaces
  13. Develop and distribute press releases with Director of Sales & Marketing on newsworthy subjects of interest to general public.
  14. Analyze responses to referral programs, special events, open houses, direct mailings, and other advertising campaigns.
  15. Identify collateral material for The Village and provide input on
  16. Present formal presentations on topics of interest to key target
  17. Conduct competitive analysis via pricing, promotion, product, and packaging of competition for the Village.
  18. Collaborate with Director of Sales & Marketing for effective coordination of public relations,marketing material, and presentation of all publications and
  1. Coach sales team on best practices to ensure desired sales
  2. Direct marketing and sales activities through active leadership in community tours, key decision influencers' interviews, and addressing any concerns during the referral decision and closing events.
  3. Develop and monitor budget for
  4. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.
  5. Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:
    • Presbyterian Villages policies and
    • Safety policies and
    • Federal, state and local
  6. All other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.  Five years related experience required experience in senior housing or related field preferred.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office Suite and sales tracking systems.

Valid Driver's License

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Must have ability to work long hours including evening and weekends on occasion.
