Job description

Customer Relations Intern

The Customer Relations Intern will perform mail room duties, file schedule requests, and manage bulk and inventory. The Intern will assist the Customer Relations Department with closing out customer reports and contacting Pace customers, verbally addressing concerns and complaints as needed. Essential functions include:

  • Handling day-to-day mail operations, schedule requests, and inventory.
  • Learning the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
  • Closing out customer reports, redirecting reports, and updating Department information.
  • Contacting Pace customers to address public concerns.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Internship Duration: Monday, June 1, 2026 โ€“ Friday, August 14, 2026

Hours Per Week: Up to 25 Hours Per Week

Rate of Pay: $18/hr

Location: Central Training & Customer Relations Facility, 2107B W. 163rd Pl Markham, IL 60428

Working Conditions: This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays.

This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.

Qualifications

Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in General Education, Business, Communications, Psychology, or other related field.

Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Proficiencies: Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time, frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment, lift and carry up to 25lbs, use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
