Job description

As a Motorola Public Relations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting media relations, communications, and brand awareness initiatives. Working alongside the Senior PR Manager, you will help develop and execute PR campaigns, create compelling press materials, coordinate media opportunities, and track industry trends to identify timely and impactful storytelling opportunities. Success in this role requires strong writing skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media and influencers.

This is a hybrid role, which will require you to work at the Merchandise Mart office in Chicago 3 days per week.

  • Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns and initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights and reports to the Sr. PR Manager
  • Draft press materials, including press releases, media alerts, media pitches and talking points

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations or a related field, PR agency experience preferred
  • Proficient in media monitoring tools, and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Experience with PR measurement and evaluation tools
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in PR strategies

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences
  • Proven analytical skills, with experience drawing insights from data
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong project management skills; detail-oriented with time management skills
