The Role:

Moxie Account Executives support several account teams in the development and execution of PR strategies across a mix of B2B, tech, and consumer clients. Successful candidates will have about 2 years of public relations experience, excellent writing skills, strong media relationships, and a real excitement to learn about PR from experienced, successful professionals.
This position is open to candidates based in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or California. Moxie operates as a remote-first team with offices in New York City (SoHo, Manhattan) and Los Angeles (Culver City) available to those who want them.
Responsibilities:
  • Draft and edit key materials, including pitches, press releases, briefing documents, contributed content / bylines, and LinkedIn content
  • Oversee and maintain master media lists, ensuring consistent outreach to top targets
  • Analyze news and trends to help develop big picture story ideas
  • Conduct media outreach and develop, maintain and leverage key journalist relationships
  • Drive conference speaking and awards programs forward by tracking deadlines, recommending opportunities and writing submissions
  • Participate in internal and client brainstorming sessions and share bold ideas
  • Exhibit excellent judgment and professionalism

Qualifications:
  • Approximately 2 years of public relations experience, ideally on consumer brands, health tech companies, and/or B2B / tech clients
  • Administrative office experience, ideally with Google apps (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success securing coverage across business, consumer and/or trade press across traditional and new media (Substack, podcasts, YouTube, etc.)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for various media verticals, audiences and contexts
  • Proactive, persistent, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to stay organized and adapt quickly in a fast-paced media landscape to deliver on client KPIs
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for continuous learning
  • Experience working on multiple accounts and industries at once, as well as thought leadership programs (conferences, awards, contributed content / op-eds), affiliate marketing, and/or influencer work is a plus

Compensation:
