In this role you will get to Support Government Public Affairs (PA) leadership within the Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) by ensuring PA equities are integrated early and consistently within planning, coordination, and execution processes. What You'll Be Doing: * Facilitates deliberate synchronization of PA activities with J39 plans and associated information-related capabilities, ensuring PA considerations, authorities, and approval requirements are identified, organized, and communicated in advance of decision points.
* Coordinates the development, review, and staffing of press releases, public statements, media responses, and communication products, ensuring content is factually accurate, contextually appropriate, and aligned with commander intent while preserving PA's statutory responsibilities and independence.
* Supports structured coordination processes to ensure PA actions are deconflicted, formally documented, and treated equitably alongside other OIE activities.
* Maintains continuous engagement with J39 planners, Information Forces, intelligence elements, legal counsel, and operational staffs to ensure PA equities are incorporated during mission analysis, course of action development, and execution.
* Tracks approvals, authorities, and timelines associated with PA actions to reduce risk of late coordination, conflicting guidance, or operational friction.
* Monitors media reporting and public discourse to inform Government PA leadership of emerging narratives, misinformation, and reputational risks, supporting timely, transparent responses.
* Assists in preparation for media engagements and public communication events, ensuring messaging remains coherent across joint, interagency, and coalition partners.
* Ensures all PA support activities comply with DoD policy, applicable legal authorities, and ethical standards, reinforcing transparency, credibility, and public trust while enabling effective integration within broader OIE efforts. What Required Skills You'll Bring: * Bachelors degree and 13+ years experience. Years of comparable experience can be used in lieu of degree. (HS diploma 17+ years, Associates 15+ years, Masters 10+ years)
* Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance or higher Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
