Job description

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst from our Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Naperville, Illinois locations. This position works closely with Business Solutions Leads, Architects, and other key IT resources to drive the planning and definition of new technology solutions and enhancements to existing solutions.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

While we prefer candidates to work from one of our IAT office locations, we are open to considering fully remote arrangements for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements from stakeholders across the insurance organization.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, source-to-target mappings, and user stories for data and reporting solutions.
  • Profile, validate, and analyze data by writing SQL queries against source systems and the Insights warehouse.
  • Interpret Duck Creek policy XML data structures and map these to Insights staging tables and columns.
  • Partner with developers and data engineers to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, present findings, and produce documentation tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support data quality, governance, and reporting initiatives within the Data Management organization.
  • Assist support team in analysis of data issues.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar technology-related field with 2+ years of related experience
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, we will consider a candidate with 7+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, with proven requirements-gathering and process-analysis skills.
  • Hands-on knowledge of the Duck Creek Policy platform.
  • Knowledgeable in Extract Mapper tool from Duck Creek.
  • Working knowledge of the Duck Creek Insights data warehouse.
  • Significant experience in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have:

  • P & C Insurance experience
  • Familiarity with bureau / statistical reporting and insurance regulatory data.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $55,200 - $120,330. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
