Job description

Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Financial Management Analyst to support KET and our government customer in Alexandria, VA. The position is hybrid and requires 3 days onsite. This position also requires an active secret clearance.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Budget & Financial Analysis:

  • Support the development, execution, and monitoring of budgets for assigned programs, projects, and program elements (PEs).ย 

Funds Control:

  • Track and report the status of funds, including commitments, obligations, and expenditures, to ensure efficient resource utilization.ย 

Financial Systems:

  • Input and maintain financial data in government information technology systems and prepare fund document approval requests.ย 

Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed and summary reports of financial data and provide analysis to support decision-making for the clientโ€™s leadership.

Policy & Guidance:

  • Analyze and interpret financial policies and regulations, providing guidance and advising leadership on financial management theories and practices.ย 

Collaboration:

  • Communicate with government personnel, customers, and financial systems personnel to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial processes.ย 

PPBE Support:

  • Assist with various stages of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and analyze submissions for assigned programs.ย 

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience with federal or defense financial management, including knowledge of budget development, execution, and financial systems.ย 
  • Ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Skills in using government financial systems and creating presentations using PowerPoint.ย 

Clearance Requirement:

  • Secret Security clearance

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, information technology, or computer related discipline or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Level Clearance, per Government requirements
  • Experience supporting Federal Financial Management business operations
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Must be fully fluent in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Hybrid; Alexandria, VA
