Job description

We are seeking a dependable and professional Full-Time Security Guard to join our team in Aurora, CO. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct customers, employees, and visitors as well as log in/out trucks as required, while maintaining access control of the guardhouse entrance and exit.
  • Provides assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist in controlling the intersection at the guardhouse to help keep traffic and people safe
  • Perform patrols on foot and by golf cart as required
  • Keep an accurate and up to date written log of activities
  • Monitor security cameras
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
  • Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with all requirements
  • Watches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Report concerns and/or problems to the management teams
  • Follows post orders and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and write detailed reports
  • Able to use good judgment, objectivity, and emotional control
  • Must be dependable
  • Self-managed
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Valid drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This is somewhat a sedentary role. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50lbs may at times be expected. 
  • Specific vision abilities may be required for this role.  These abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, as well as good depth perception.
  • Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.  
  • You will need to be able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch when needed. 
  • Repetitive movements are a big part of our environment, so you will need to be able to use your hands and feet simultaneously.
  • You will have regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving equipment.

$19.29 ($1 differential for overnight and weekend shifts)
