Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace Edison Works intern or co-op!At GE Aerospace, safety and quality are our top priorities - and inEdison Works, you'll apply them while working at the forefront of advanced aerospace innovation. As part of this team, you'll take on challenging, real-world engineering problems focused on developing next-generation propulsion technologies for critical military applications. You'll build professional and technical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and training, while forming connections with fellow interns, engineers, and leaders. This experience will help prepare you for a potential full-time career at GE Aerospace, whether through one of our leadership programs or direct-hire opportunities.
In Advanced Programs Signature Design & Test, you will help pioneer next-generation military propulsion systems by defining and delivering integrated survivability solutions to defend freedom around the globe. You will have the opportunity to participate in computational predictions, RCS testing, and analysis support activities to meet the capability needs of our customers. As a signature design engineer, you will gain experience building CAD models within NX or Patran, meshing those models, and then analyzing and post-processing the models with either SENTRi (Government provided computational electromagnetic code) or one of our many internally developed GE Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) codes. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with aero, mechanical, thermal, and performance engineers to achieve optimum designs as you plan and execute electromagnetic characterization and radar cross section measurements with industry expert mentors.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale without rounding
- Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)
- Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available
- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to have an active security clearance at the SECRET level.

Eligibility Requirements:
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. United States Citizenship required as a prerequisite for secret clearance.
