Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments, to understand clients' needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that not only address their mental health conditions but also consider their cultural backgrounds and personal goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using methodologies such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) in various formats including individual, couple, family, and group therapy.
• Provide crisis intervention services, demonstrating your ability to manage acute distress effectively while ensuring patients feel supported.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to Avira's policies and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver psychoeducational resources to empower patients and their families in managing mental health challenges and enhancing their well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes and modify approaches based on patient progress, remaining adaptable to provide the best care possible.
• Stay updated with current research and best practices in mental health, incorporating new knowledge into your therapeutic practice to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Strictly adhere to ethical guidelines, maintaining the confidentiality of patient information while fostering trust and rapport.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base is diverse, encompassing individuals from various cultural backgrounds who have experienced trauma, mental health disorders, or emotional difficulties. You will have the opportunity to work with clients ranging from children to adults, utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to address their specific needs and experiences. Your role will be pivotal in creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and work towards their mental health goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly in a telehealth format, is preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive therapy practices.
• Comfort with utilizing digital tools and platforms for teletherapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between $70,000 and $84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
