WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions in a collaborative setting, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state PTA license or certification.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 0-1 years.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute treatment plans established by Physical Therapists, which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and communicate findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation regarding patients’ therapy responses and progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety measures, and methods to encourage ongoing progress at home.
  • Assist Physical Therapists in assessing patient needs and progress by providing additional observations and insights.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
